William pearse, brother of patrick, is born in dublin

November 15th , 1881

William James Pearse (Irish: Uilliam Seamus Mac Piarais; 15 November 1881 – 4 May 1916) was an Irish republican executed for his part in the Easter Rising. He was a younger brother of Patrick Pearse, a leader of the rising.

Both William and Patrick Pearse played prominent roles in the Irish nationalist movement, particularly during the early 20th century.

Patrick Pearse is perhaps best known for his leadership role in the Easter Rising of 1916, which aimed to establish an independent Irish Republic. Unfortunately, the rising was suppressed by British forces, and Patrick Pearse, along with his brother William, was executed by firing squad on May 03, 1916.

William Pearse, like his brother, was involved in the cultural and political activities that contributed to the growing movement for Irish independence. His commitment to the cause ultimately led to his tragic fate during the Easter Rising. The Pearse brothers are remembered as significant figures in Irish history, and their contributions to the nationalist movement are commemorated in various ways in Ireland.
