The first regular stage coach service between dublin and belfast commences

April 16th , 1752

The first stage coach service from Dublin to Belfast opened on the 16th of April 1752.

The service was part of a campaign of improved infrastructure in Ireland.

All of the stage coach services ran from various inns in Dublin.

This meant that those who could afford the fare could now travel between towns at a much greater speed.
